About us

Animal lovers to the absolute core

Hi, I'm Lorna! My husband, Kory, and I share our farm and home with our four gorgeous Australian Shepherds, Gloria, Frida, Miguel, and Bonita. Our Aussiedoodle male, Diego also lives on the farm with us, but in my parents' house next door.

We love to spend our time with the dogs walking around the farm as they play in the fields and creek. You will commonly find our three adult daughters and two grandsons running around here, too, playing with the dogs and their horses.

Our Values

Family first

Our dogs are family first. Our dogs live in the house with us; thus, they also give birth in the comfort of their own home, and raise their puppies in a stress-free environment. To ensure that Gloria and Frida can care for their puppies in peace, we have a custom whelping pen designed to allow the girls to care for their babies in a secluded space away from the other dogs, and come out whenever they please to relax, hangout with their buddies, and simply be a dog while their babies are safely contained.

Ethical Breeding

We are devoted to our dogs and ensure that they receive proper pre and post natal care. Our pre-natal care entails regular vet check-ups including x-rays and ultrasounds. Post natal care involves more vet check-ups, proper nutrition and supplements, and a balance between time with her puppies and time being a dog.

We do not over-breed. Our girls' health is our main priority so we want to ensure they get ample time to recover, relax, and be a dog in-between litters. The girls will only be bred when they get the go-ahead from their vet.

We do not crop the tails of our puppies or our dogs. If our dogs have a short tail, it is because they have a natural bob-tail. Because we have dogs with short tails (Gloria & Frida) and long tails (Miguel & Diego), there will likely be a mix of tail lengths in each litter!

Socialization of our dogs and their puppies is important to us as it benefits the pups, the mom, and the puppies' new family.

What comes with my Puppy?

When you get your puppy will have already received a vet check and their first set of shots including distemper, hepatis, parvo, and parainfluenza. You will also receive a puppy care package with some of the high quality puppy food that they will already be used to and eating independently.

FAQ

How many breeding dogs do you have?

As of January 2025, we have two mature Australian Shepherd females, one Australian Shepherd male, one Aussiedoodle male, and one adolescent Australian Shepherd female.

How often do you breed your females?

Our girls are family first - this means that their breeding schedule is dependent on their health and wellbeing to ensure they have a chance to enjoy every aspect of life and be a dog! We anticipate that our girls will have three litters in their breeding career; however, their health and safety is our priority so litter frequency will be at their vet's discretion.

At what age to you separate the babies from the mom?

The puppies will not be taken away from their mother until both the puppy and the mother are ready. Typically, puppies are ready to be separated between 8-9 weeks.

Do you crop their tails?

NO!! We are strongly against any docking of tails or ears on any dog. If our dogs have short tails, this is because they have the genetics that carry a natural bob-tail (just like Gloria and Frida), while others may have a naturally long tail (like Miguel).

Are your dogs good with kids?

All of our dogs are great with kids! All four of our dogs have been raised around our two grandsons who are currently aged 7 and 4.

When do you take deposits?

A $300 deposit can be placed on puppies once they reach one week old. We do not take deposits on litters that are not born.

Do your dogs live in the house?

Yes! Gloria, Frida, Miguel, and Bonita live in the house with us and Diego lives in my parents; house on the same property.
